This is absenter.org, which I've had as a website since 2000. It is my first domain. It has always been a journal of some kind and has documented various periods of my life either by text or photography or both. The somewhat popular photo journal version is located at photo.absenter.org for posterity. And if the name seems familiar, it comes from the last official track on Jawbox's last proper album. If you're curious about the song, give it a spin.

Subject matter typically involves personal minutiae, photography, cycling and rarely, if ever, web design and development. The latter is more commonly found at MEMO. While I primarily write for myself, I publish this on the web as a way to garner insight and perspective from the act of publishing itself or from reader comments.
